A Bojangle’s restaurant will open in Millers Creek on Friday morning. The restaurant is located in the Millers Creek Commons shopping center near the intersection of N.C. 16 and Old U.S. 421. The business is connected to a Fast Track convenience store, which opened last Saturday.

Business hours for the restaurant will be from 5 a.m. to around 9 p.m. seven days a week, said Greg Faw of Fast Track. This will be the third Bojangle’s to open in Wilkes. Others are located on N.C. 268 East in North Wilkesboro and U.S. 421 Bypass in Wilkesboro.

The Wilkes Playmakers have completed auditions and the cast has been picked for the first show of the season - "South Pacific." The cast includes: Brooklynn Chaufty, Ashley Blevins, Karen Staten, Jane Masterson, Ann Dellinger, Brandi Brown, Catherine Bormann, Brittany Griffin, Beth Ann Dellinger, Laura Collins, Miranda McElheney, Cat Reid, Marion Edgemeyer, Nikki West, Julia White, Allison Laney, Brittany McElheney, Stacey Rhodes, Patricia Joines, Britt Hostetter, Sally Hostetter, Keisha Spainhour, Rhonda Joines, Anne Reid, Heather Leupold, Derek Pinkerton, Brannon Chaufty, Alan Richey, Steve Reid, Joey Griffin, Joe Brewer, Mark Williams, Bob McElheney, Ric White, Matthew Collins, Andrew Wood, Jim Horne, Ted Edgerton, John Kolbow, William Davidson, Joe Adams, Joseph Anderson, Travis Benefield, Jim Haley, John Chaufty, Vance Hostetter, Jennifer Key, Benjamin Key, Sarah McMillan, Emily White, Brandon Moree, Piper McMillan, Joshua Pinkerton and Elizabeth Key. "South Pacific" will be performed at Benton Hall on March 29, 30, 31 and April 5, 6, and 7 at 7:30 p.m. and on April 1 and 8 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale March 1. Prices are $13 for adults and $9 for children.
