Dooley tickets going fast Tickets are still tickets available for
the play Tom Dooley: A Wilkes County Legend.
But, if you want to see the award-winning show, you better act fast. Last year,
the first year of the play, sold out for every performance. Tom Dooley: A Wilkes County Legend was
written by Karen Wheeling Reynolds, who directs the show. Reynolds has also
penned a companion novel, of the same title. A CD soundtrack of the show, which
includes music by the Wilkes Acoustic Folk Society and lines from the play by
the Playmakers, has also been produced and is available for sale. Reynolds, who is also executive director
of the Wilkes Playmakers, which produces the play at Benton Hall on D Street in
North Wilkesboro, said sales of tickets, the book and the CD have been brisk. Tom
Dooley: A Wilkes County Legend, begins it second season on July 11. Evening
shows will run Thursdays through Saturdays with afternoon matinees on Sundays
each week through the first week in August. All seats for the play are $15. Seating
is general admission. The book is $14 and the CD is $15. Tickets, the book and
